In Praise of Donna
This week at mommybloggers, we are proud to feature Donna from Socal Mom.
Our friend and writer Donna writes for dot-moms and Socal mom. We met her at BlogHer 2005, and fell in love immediately. Don't let her reserved attitude fool you. This woman has a lot to say, and she writes with strength and honesty. Here is what her fans have to say about Donna:
Mary Tsao from Mom Writes says:
"I met SoCal Mom Donna at the 2005 BlogHer convention. I found her friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to; I liked her immediately. Since then, I've truly enjoyed reading about her daily life as a hard-working mom to an even harder-working daughter. She also sometimes writes about very personal memories and times in her past, and I appreciate her honesty. Donna's clearly an amazing woman, wife, and mother. Even though she's So Cal and I'm No(rthern) Cal, we have a lot in common and I'm looking forward to spending more IRL time with her at this year's BlogHer!"
Jenijen from notcalm.com says:
"I met Donna last summer at BlogHer. My blog list was pretty small at that point, and I hadn't read her before. So, I checked her out after the conference, and have been reading ever since. She's a gifted and strong writer and is able to talk about all the events in her life in a way that make you feel like you are her close girlfriend, sitting across the table from her at starbucks. (Which is HUGE for me, I despise starbucks!)
Yay, Donna! We love Donna!"
Shauna from Shauna's Soliloquies says:
"I started reading Donna's blog last summer after attending BlogHer. I eventually made my way through the roll, but hers was one of the first I read. I couldn't resist the name, SoCal Mom.
I still read it regularly, I enjoy it. It's smart and insightful and entertains me. I've come to "know" her by comments/emails we've exchanged, and I'm looking forward to meeting her "in person" this summer at the next BlogHer."
Stephanie says:
"Steph loves to read Donna's blog!!! I love the way she writes about living in Southern California and is so down to earth about it. No matter if she's tucked away in her favorite Starbucks WI-FI spot in Cardiff U.K.. She's really every mom in so many ways. She's also very involved in the PTO at her daughters school and that hits a note with me also. Keep on writing Donna!!!"
We are so glad to have the opportunity to feature Donna. Please stay tuned for an interview with Donna, to be posted later this afternoon!
