Here at Mommybloggers we know what we have coming up for 2007. We know what our plans are for the upcoming year. (Well, as much as we can know and plan for. You know how it goes!) And this past year, well...let's be honest, it had some rather hellacious moments for many of us. I for one am happy to see 2006 to get the heck outta dodge. Bring on 2007.
But this isn't just about our plans. It's about yours.
We want to hear about your New Year's Resolutions/Plans/Hopes/Dreams for this new year.
What are you planning? Are they the same as last year? How far have you come this year?
Today (New Year's Eve) is a time for many to look back and reflect on where you have been and then look ahead to what they want to accomplish. Share those things with us. Who knows? We may have a pop quiz, put you on the spot and ask you later if you stuck to it. (Ohhhhh! Pop quizzes!)
On behalf of Jenny, Meghan and myself, we all want to wish you the happiest of New Years. A year where you are blessed. A time where your dreams come true. And of course, a year that brings you health and happiness beyond measure. We love you, people!
On a personal note, I want to thank each one of you and your support this past year after the death of my Mom. It has been an excruciating year. But with the comments, emails and support you gave me all throughout this year, you made the worst time in my life more bearable. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I am thankful. Your words here make a difference to us.
Thank you for being the amazing people you are. May 2007 be your year to make your dreams/wishes and goals come true.

1. To lose the extra weight I put on over the holidays (and even before that).

I firmly resolve to keep my eyes focused forward. Not to dwell on the past, on past mistakes or triumphs. To live in the moment. And never to take the moment for granted. To live each day as if it were a precious gift. And to treasure the gift of my family.
And to try to not write so many posts involving vomit. Although I don't think that's being reasonable.

I've been trying to condense them after a lot of thought, so my resolutions are:
•Follow through - on referrals, on paperwork, on finances, etc
•Finish my novel, submit writing to other places
•Finally swallow my pride and accept help when it is offered.

Goals? A few...
1-live through tax season
2-get started with school (finally) in March to earn my bachelor's degree and get out of this nowhere job
3-work on becoming healthier overall
4-nurture the new relationship I have going and see where it goes...hopefully a long way

My EVERY OTHER YEAR RESOLUTION
I make a new year's resolution every other year (odd numbered years)- And that is to try at least one new recipe a week.
It's something I like to do, and my personal cookbook has grown a lot in the past few years.
The opposite (even numbered) year that I don't make a resolution,
I get to retry some of those recipes, and make my own personal adjustments.

I made no real resolutions this year. Last year at this time I had just been downsized from Corporate America, I never went back to the "real workforce" after making a very good income, my family thought I was crazy. This year I just breathed deep and said this will be my year, I am on the right path!
