Blame It On Sleep Deprivation

2007 snuck up on us here at Mommybloggers headquarters. We've been writing the wrong dates on our checks, starting blankly at our calendar page for December 2006, and wondering why the holidays don't match up.

Refreshed from our three-day weekend with our children (NOT) we are finally digging out the 2007 calendar. Mine is this one: Calendario Romano. Well, and this one: More Time Moms which I have been using for years now.

Must stop looking at hot priests for a moment and focus. Aha! Okay. Back to the subject at hand...

We've got a full schedule of interviews, essays and weekly Q&As ready to roll. We're looking forward to introducing you to some incredibly talented writers, and finally bringing some of our long-planned features online.

And, we've got a favor to ask:

We are always on the lookout for amazing blogs, both new and established. We get around (ahem) - but with the rapid growth of the online world, we know that we've yet to meet many of the wonderful parent bloggers out there. Will you please leave a comment with your recommendations for bloggers we simply must know? We missed Sheryl's Delurking Week... (it was his fault) but if you'll leave a comment with your URL, we'll be popping by to say hello!

We've got new questions up in the Q&A
. We'll be posting the roundup of answers from the last two rounds (again, sleep deprivation and flat-out neglect, sorry!) tomorrow. Please send us your answers!

I'm sure you already have plans for this one, but I've always wished you'd interview Dutch and Wood at Sweet Juniper. Tres awesome.

Hi! I have a few parent bloggers that I check daily that I adore.
O for Obsessive at www.kellygo.blogspot.com
and The Journey at k.hebert.blogspot.com and Meno's blog at www.menosblog.blogspot.com to name a few. :-)

I think mommies are some of the most sleep deprived citizens! I know, I had five children, and sleep was so precious-- when you could get it! Best wishes.

I've become a big fan of Bub and Pie lately. http://bubandpie.blogspot.com/

And I'm a longtime devotee of Nancy at Blog-Pourri:

Two of my faves are The Snarky Squab (www.snarkysquab.blogspot.com) and Catherine Newman's post-babycenter personal blog (www.benandbirdy.blogspot.com). And, as I am a big mommybloggers fan, I too would love you to come visit me at Mama in Wonderland at www.mamainwonderland.blogspot.com. I am not above shameless self-promotion, as you can see.

Well, I'm gonna nominate some dads too--maybe it'll take:

Parents of older kids/teens:
*jo(e) from writingasjoe.blogspot.com
*chip from daddychip.blogspot.com

Non-US parent-bloggers:
*penguin from penguinunearthed.wordpress.com
*Sandra from hereinkorea.blogspot.com
*Vicki from procrastamom.wordpress.com

Elementary-school-aged parents:
*Phil from pkmeco.com/familyblog
*Jessica from daydreamsandmusings.blogspot.com
*Kelly at solomom.ivillage.com

And last but not least, my parents of pre-school-aged kid blogfriends:
*chichimama from chichimama.blogspot.com
*metrodad from metrodad.typepad.com
*Suzanne from mimilou.blogspot.com
*Mama A & Mama E from redwhineandboo.typepad.com

So funny - while I was obsessively searching for a good productivity calendar for 2007, I too considered the hot Roman priests. But then I figured I'd get nothing done if I bought it. Plus my Roman Catholic grandma would never approve.

I have a blogger to recommend to you -- more for Q&A purposes. A client of mine, Dr. Michael Breus, an AOL Wellness Coach and the sleep disorders expert at WebMD, has a new blog, The Insomnia Blog -- http://www.insomniablog.typepad.com.

He'll take questions of all kinds from folks re: sleep (e.g. kids & sleep, parents & sleep), so head on over. He is also a young father of two.

Thanks!

I enjoy Rockstar Mommy

I'd love for you to check out my newer blog. You have known me for www.agnosticmom.com.

I now have a blog/video podcast on scrapbooking, paper arts, and photography. Of course, much of that revolves around my kids.

I was surfing Mommy blogs and found yours so I would like to send you over to a friend of mine.
